Stencil Organization Help

HELLO, COOKIERS!

I am admittedly a perfectionist. I am getting better at not being so hard on myself if everything doesn’t go as planned. If I am not careful, it can steal my JOY! I DO NOT want that. I am sure that all perfectionists out there can relate. I hold myself to a very high standard in everything I do, especially my work. However, if I had let that perfectionism get in my way, I would have never started my original Colorful Cookie Blog that led to The Colorful Cookie Studio and The Colorful Cookie Club. I would have never recorded any video tutorials, let alone go LIVE on Facebook! None of those things are ever perfectly done. Never! That is because we are not perfect. No one is! So, let’s let good enough be good enough! Remember last week’s email?? Have you gone LIVE on your Facebook page? Do it. Stop waiting! It won’t be perfect. Who cares!! I encourage you to do it!

I struggle with organization and I think that’s part of my perfectionism(of which I am trying to let go). If you have seen my office in the background of my LIVE videos, you know exactly what I am talking about! My husband always tells me that it wouldn’t matter how big my crap room is, it would never be big enough because I would just keep filling it up with more crap. He just doesn’t get it and I keep telling him that it is called a craft room! Everything in it is very valuable and certainly not crap LOL I always have the best intentions of getting my office organized so that I can be “more productive”. Whatever! I organize and re-organize and move things around. Then I’ve spent 4 hours moving furniture and don’t get my to-do list knocked out! UGH. Sound familiar??

So…Who’s not interested in getting organized?!?!?!? One of our amazing club members, Kim Southerland-Redden from The Cookie Puzzle, did a Facebook LIVE in The Colorful Cookie Club Facebook Group two weeks ago showing how she organized her stencils using her Cricut Machine and it started a great conversation. It also prompted me to go LIVE on The Colorful Cookie Facebook Page to show you my storage containers and how I use my Cricut and Cameo cutting machine software to organize my stencils. I have found a “good enough for me system” and Kim has found a “good enough for her system” for organizing our 100’s of stencils. When you design and cut your own stencils, you have 100’s of stencils for very little cost!
